Rose Ann Hollis of Lovington NM left her worldly home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 22, 2018 at the age of 83. She was born to Willis and Alice Smith in Quinton, OK on April 03, 1935. Both of her parents have preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hollis was a person that everyone needed to know; her charm and grace, emphasized by a charismatic personality, she embodied what a wife, mother, grandmother and friend should be. She loved to go down to the bowling alley and had a lethal arm that could propel a softball to fly with professional precision across home plate. She made time to watch her favorite professional teams, the Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys, play and could keep with the banter and talk of any sports jargon. She was wholly unique and blessed many people who took the time to get to know her.

On May 2, 1953 she married her love, Jerry Hollis, and would give him the best 65 years any man could ever ask for. Loyalty and trust is the cornerstone of any successful marriage and for Rose Ann this was the bedrock that she built her marriage on. The two built a life together in 1961 here in Lovington NM and went on to create a family with two daughters and a son. The legacy of their love and unconditional support that the two shared has been passed on. Their example will be a lasting testimony not only to their children but also their grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Hollis of Lovington NM; daughters Becky Bogan and Kevin, Phyllis Lemoine and Kenneth; son Jerry D. Hollis; 6 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two granddaughters Brooke Leigh Hollis and Erin Nicole Bogan. Pallbearers who will have the honor to carry Mrs. Hollis to her final resting place are Kenneth Lemoine, Kevin Bogan, Daniel Jimenez, Nick Jimenez, Kelly Green and Jeffrey Bogan.
