Shirley Mae (Knox) Collins, 82, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018. Shirley was born in San Angelo, Texas to John and Ida Mae Knox. She married Leroy Collins on December 6, 1951 and they were together for 59 years. Shirley was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leroy Collins, son Bobby Collins and granddaughter Amanda Collins.
She is survived by her children Darlene Sanders and husband Bo, of Longview, TX, Donny Collins of Lovington, NM, Dennis Collins of Tatum, NM, Jerry Collins and wife Rebbeca of Lovington, NM and Terry Collins and wife Cindy of Lovington, NM. Also surviving 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, bother Arlin Knox and wife Helga of Belton, TX and sister-in-law Louise Watson of Clyde, TX. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10:00 am, officiating will be her great-grandson Dylan Sanders.
Pallbearers will be Josh Collins, Robert Collins, Steven Collins, Scott Collins, Toady Sanders, Dylan Sanders, Cody Collins, Seth Sanders and Casey Collins.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I met Shirley in the 60's. I was close friends with her and Leroy and their 5 children. She was a wonderful friend and mother. She will be missed.
